Fall Sugar Cookies

I made some fall themed sugar cookies to send with my husband on a hunting trip.  They turned out very pretty.  I just bought these new cookie cutters.  I had so much fun decorating the acorns, maple, and elm leaves!!

Oh my goodness, I think I have the same cookie cutter set. Funny thing is, I always save the acorn for Christmas cookies, and use the maple and oak for the fall. I do the acorns in gingerbread, and then just ice the cap and dip it (the cap) in chocolate sprinkles. It's my oldest son's favourite Christmas cookie. And for fall, because I am too lazy to decorate the cookies, I just tint some of the dough orange, some red, and some yellow, and then just bake them and leave them plain as they are already multicoloured. I love the way your acorns came out... I think I might have to make a batch that way soon myself. Thanks for sharing.
